Privacy Notice

Elekevu does not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or cross-site profiling. We do not sell, rent or trade inquiry information.

We do use privacy-conscious site measurement and security tools so we can understand whether the website works, improve performance and protect public forms from automated abuse.

Information you submit.

• Fit Check: name, business name, email address, optional phone number and the operational problem you describe.
• Privacy request: name, email address and the request you ask us to act on.

Technical and usage information.

• Vercel hosts the site and processes technical request information needed to deliver and secure it. Hosting and security logs are separate from the aggregate Web Analytics dataset described below.
• Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights provide aggregate traffic and performance information such as routes, referrers, country, browser/device categories and performance measurements.
• The Fit Check and privacy-request forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to detect automated abuse. Turnstile processes browser, device and network signals needed for that security check; it does not receive the text you enter into the form.

Different processing activities rely on different lawful bases:

• Fit Check inquiries: to take steps at your request before entering into a possible consulting engagement.
• Privacy requests: to meet our obligations under applicable data protection law and respond to your rights request.
• Site security, analytics and performance: our legitimate interests in protecting, maintaining and improving the website, where those interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

We do not use information submitted through these forms for unrelated advertising or profiling.

We use a small number of providers to operate the site and deliver requests:

• Vercel: website hosting, serverless infrastructure, Web Analytics and Speed Insights.
• Resend: transactional email delivery used to send Fit Check and privacy requests to Elekevu's private inbox.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: abuse and bot protection for the Fit Check and privacy-request forms.

The website itself does not maintain a separate customer or inquiry database. Form submissions are transmitted to Elekevu through the services above. Those providers may retain operational, security or delivery logs under their own service terms.

Some service providers may process personal data outside Kenya. Resend, for example, states that its primary data storage and processing operations are in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside Kenya, Kenyan data protection law requires appropriate safeguards for the transfer.

Elekevu uses the contractual, security and data-processing protections made available by its service providers and keeps the amount of personal data sent through these services as limited as practical.

Elekevu's policy is to delete Fit Check inquiries that do not become active engagements from its working inbox within 90 days, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for a legal, contractual or dispute-related purpose.

Privacy-rights requests may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request and demonstrate that it was handled. Service-provider logs may follow the provider's own retention periods.

Depending on the circumstances, Kenyan data protection law gives you rights to be informed about the use of your data, access personal data held about you, object to processing, correct inaccurate data, request erasure where applicable, request restriction of processing and request data portability where applicable.

Elekevu does not use this website to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.

You may also raise a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully.

Use this form to ask what information Elekevu holds about you, request a correction, object to processing, or ask us to act on another applicable data-protection right. The form is also our privacy contact channel, so a personal phone number or public personal email address does not need to be published on the site.
